Just to let you know that our insurance company got the report today from the bloke who came out nearly three weeks ago. They are accepting that it is a genuine claim for subsidence and they are happy to pay for everything that needs to be done from now on. They are also happy for us to use our own structural engineer.
So it looks like next Thursday I'll have some builders in and they'll be digging big holes around my house to do site pit investigations!!! So hopefully not too long after that to find out what the cause is!!!
Obviously keep you posted.

Thats fantastic news! So happy for you! Hopefully they will get it all sorted quickly now. See what the power of prayer can do!
Thank you Lisa. Unfortunately subsidence claims are not quick ones. The girl at E-sure yesterday said they take a long time because the cracks and gaps need to be monitored over the winter and spring and into the summer to see what the extent of the movement is. So it'll be at least a year, with not much happening. But at least it's not a year with loads of building and digging, just someone coming out every 8 weeks or so and taking a reading from the monitor.
Praying for you xx
Brilliant news Pauline - great that they will pay out. I know it will take time, but you could have had a battle on your hands with the insurance company on top of everything else, so that is one less thing to worry about....not that I am saying that we should worry!!! hahaha - just cast your care on Him for He cares for you!! :-)
Thanks Lisa and Laura. I'm not overly worried about it, it will get sorted and will take a long time. Your prayers are very valued.
Thats a strange thing with Alice's teeth isn't it? At least the dentist wasn't overly concerned so thats a good thing. Hope they're not giving her too much trouble.
